This breeding was just amazing. After many years
of me not being successful to get my girls pregnant,
this was just the most amazing experience for all of
us at my home, but to me, it was the highlight of
many years of hoping, wishing. Working with Z’s
owner, Janice, was also so easy and she
was so supportive. That I got to raise
these puppies with Puppy Culture, and
watch how smart they were.
All were raised inside of our home. I slept in the
room where they were at, at 1st with mom and
puppies with me right nearby their whelping box
and then we moved them into the living room where
I slept on the couch. We raised these well-adjusted
puppies following “Puppy Culture” program from
birth to 9 weeks.
My husband and I also did neurological stimulation
from day 3 on. You can view these exercises here.
These Z ex Emerald puppies were the center of
attention until they went to their selected homes at
9-10 weeks old. Regular nail trimming done by my
husband and began a few days after they are born to
help them get used to their feet being handled.
Once they are old enough, we took them outside
several times a day for playtime with adults, visitors,
and young adults, sometimes children. We taught
them sitting exercises, and they have learned their
names for coming to us. We make sure they hear the
sounds of traffic going by, pans being dropped,
sirens, gun shots via YouTube, Thunder via Youtube
to get them used to loud sounds. I brush them
regularly so that they get used to that sensation.
Before going home, they have had several baths.
Bearded Collies are smart and many of them have
learned where to potty, whether outside while we
are playing or inside on a large area that gets cleaned
often. They will have had several trips to the vet for
various visits.
We have been approved and vetted through “Good
Dog,” and you can read about how they make sure
that we are good breeders. You can pay for your
puppy via Good Dog if you so choose.
